They do say time flies when you’re having fun, and my first six months with Sixothree Marketing have flown by in the blink of an eye. So much so that I’m writing this blog in my 9th month with Karen and Sixothree.
A warm welcome
My Sixothree journey started on a beautiful, warm and sunny morning. I sat on the train making my way in to Manchester city centre feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves. I walked briskly across the city and arrived at City Tower ready and raring to go.
As I walked into the office I was welcomed with a Sixothree branded folder and pen and I instantly knew I was part of the team. A coffee or two, induction and introductory client information later my first day was done, but I knew as I sat feeling tired on the 18.02 train home that I was where I wanted to be.

Celebrating the end of my first week
By the end of my first week, I’d already met and been bowling with one of our clients, engaged in conference calls with others and put building blocks in place for successful client relationships. I felt positive as I’d been given the opportunity to shape marketing plans and get involved in a number of client projects from the outset. I felt my ideas were valued and openly appreciated. A celebratory end of first week drink was in order and what better place to celebrate than in the office bar with our City Tower neighbours.

Networking with the BforB Manchester Ladies
My first month provided many firsts, but one that stands out was my first visit to the BforB Manchester ladies networking group. I attended with Karen and met a group of inspiring business women, working together to create better opportunities for each other. Networking can be daunting but my experiences through Sixothree have helped to build my confidence and I now enjoy and look forward to new networking events.

Exhibitions and meeting Gareth Gates!
August and September flew by as we planned for multiple client exhibitions in London and Manchester alongside the day to day support we provide for clients, such as marketing strategy advice and ideas, design and print production, social media content creation, blog writing and much much more. Attending exhibitions to provide client support, allows us the opportunity to not only engage with the client’s audience and learn more about their wants and needs, but we can also further promote our client’s brand via social media when attending an exhibition.
During one very busy day in September I attended The Takeaway & Restaurant Innovation Expo at The Excel in London, supporting our client with customer engagement on their stand, social media, competitor research and I even got to meet Gareth Gates!
November was fast approaching, and I was leading on my first exhibition, this may seem a daunting prospect to many, but the support I received from Karen made the experience enjoyable and memorable for all the right reasons. The sense of pride and client goodwill after the exhibition made the build up work and 2 days on my feet at the exhibition all worthwhile.

The festive period was just around the corner, and this means lots of things, cold mornings, Christmas biscuits in the office, networking and planning for 2018. Client marketing activity planning allows us and the client to be proactive and allocate resources to plan for fluctuations in business and seasonal trends. With all client plans in place I waved goodbye to the Sixothree office for the Christmas break.
January and 2018 had arrived and I was ready and raring to go after the festive break. January saw me project manage a new client website from conception to sign off, alongside implementing a complex SEO strategy to help boost the website’s ranking.
As you can see my first 6 months involved new experiences, new locations, new clients and new friendships. Joining Sixothree Marketing is the best decision I ever made and I’m excited to see what the future holds.
