It’s been just over eight months since I joined the Sixothree team; I can’t quite believe it! I’ve been meaning to look back on my time here and share my experience for a little while, so here goes…
I started my first day by meeting the team at our Manchester office, a sombre day after England failed at penalties in Euro 2021 the evening before. However, I was excited to start my new role and finally meet the team face-to-face.
Although my role is fully remote, I meet the team on Zoom every morning to have a catch-up, which helps me feel part of the team and keeps me up-to-date with everything that’s happening. I also travel up to Manchester once a month to work in the Sixothree office. It’s an opportunity to catch up with the team in person and gets me out of the house (something that doesn’t happen very often when working from home).
The feeling I felt when I first met with Karen and Jenny during the interview process and the welcoming, supportive nature of the team, I still feel to this day. The team works closely together and supports one another when needed – nothing is ever a big ask.
The first month I spent in my induction with Jenny, in the lead up to her maternity leave. I spent time getting to know her clients, her daily, weekly, monthly tasks and fully embracing the work. It didn’t take long until I felt ‘at home’ and comfortable with my clients to take on their marketing projects full-time. It’s nice to have the responsibility to own accounts and put forward ideas to help and support them to grow. I even got to join one of my clients on their away weekend – a strategy day, and a day swinging through the trees at Go Ape in the Lake District! It was the first time I’d met them face-to-face, but you would never have known.
Over the past eight months, I’ve worked on website builds, social media campaigns, lead generation activities, paid advertising strategies, and being a host of a regular podcast to name a few! I’ve learned many new skills and been involved in a variety of projects which have kept me busy.
I’ve had a fantastic experience at Sixothree so far and have been lucky to work with some amazing clients.
